Senju CN Douglas Fir Wood Grain Fire Sprinkler Cover Plate with 140F (60C) activation temperature. This fire sprinkler cover works with Senju’s Series CN concealed pendent fire sprinklers.  The CN cover facilitates timely activation of the CN concealed fire sprinkler heads with a temperature rating of 140F (60C) (White also available in 162F). This sprinkler cover has an outer diameter or 2-3/8 in. and an inner diameter of 1-3/8 in.

The Senju CN cover plate is perfect for residential or commercial building owners who are intent on matching their ceiling’s finish with their fire sprinkler cover; the CN cover is available in 11 different finishes without incurring additional fees. These finishes include White, Ivory, Beige, Brown, Black, Nickel, and 5 Wood Grain variants (Douglas Fir, Cherry Chestnut, Golden Oak, Yellow Birch, and Dark Walnut).  Along with these base finishes, for an additional fee Senju will custom paint this cover in any finish you prefer, so long that Senju can purchase the paint locally. Senju CN Fire Sprinkler Cover Plate Sprinkler Head Compatibility and Listings

This Sprinkler Head Cover Plate from Senju is UL Listed, and/or may be listed/approved by other organizations depending on the sprinkler. It meets the requirements of a sprinkler assembly per NFPA 13, where approved by the local Authority Having Jurisdiction. It installs by simply pushing the cover into the sprinkler’s frame.

To remove your existing cover plate, gently twist the cover to the left while applying downward pressure by pulling gently as you turn.

When this Douglas Fir Wood Grain fire sprinkler cover plate reaches its specified temperature of 140F (60C) or 162F (72C), the solder holding the plate's decorative exterior on the frame melts, and the two separate. For many cover plates, the rated temperature is at least 20F (6.7C) cooler than the sprinkler head's activation temperature, which ensures that the cover plate detaches early enough to allow the sprinkler to activate on time. However, each manufacturer's product line varies slightly, and cover plate temperatures may be closer to or further away from the fire sprinkler's activation temperature. Use only the cover plate approved by the manufacturer for your specific sprinkler.

This Senju CN Concealed sprinkler head cover is installed easily by hand. However, for tall ceilings, the Senju Magnetic Cover Plate Installation tool is key! Simply install the cover installation tool on a piece of 1-inch CPVC pipe and use to gently push the cover into the sprinkler’s frame.
